6-month extension for MOT testing

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Government has announced new, temporary, measures to help keep people on the road for essential travel, whether that be necessary travel to work or to the shop for necessities.

From 30th March, all cars, vans and motorbikes will be granted an exemption from MOT testing for 6-months. This legislation will be effective immediately from 30th March and will be in place for 12 months.

Of course, vehicles must be in a roadworthy condition and garages may still offer essential repair work. Drivers may still be prosecuted if vehicles are unsafe. Please remember, that Vindis Group service departments will be open, but we will be prioritising vehicles of key workers to ensure they are kept mobile during this time.

As always, the government’s rules regarding essential travel remain. Stay safe, stay at home when you can, and please get in contact with your nearest Vindis Group dealership via email or phone if you require help.
