666, the number of the bike

A collaboration between two Italian icons, the Ducati Diavel Diesel conjures images of rock’n’roll lifestyles, merging the past and future in one brand new limited edition model. Ducati describe the inspiration for the bike as an ‘imaginary post-apocalyptic and retro-futuristic world with hyperkinetic vitality’, and with a description like that, you know you’ll be in for a treat.

Unveiled at the Milan Men’s Fashion Week, the bike will also appear at the upcoming Motor Bike Expo between 20th and 22nd January. With only 666 of the bikes being built, a number derived from the six letters in each of the three words in the model’s name, the bike certainly has exclusivity on its side. Each model will be delivered with an engraved plate on the frame Not that it needs it of course. The Ducati Diavel Diesel is instantly recognisable from its hand-brushed, stainless steel superstructure with visible welding. The unique real leather saddle blends perfectly with the bike’s colour for a timeless look.

The red Diesel logo adorns the cover of the side conveyors, and the red theme continues to the colour of the front Brembo brake callipers, five chain links and the instrument panel with its vintage displays.

The Ducati Diavel Diesel comes with a Testastretta 11˚ Dual Spark heart. This engine delivers 162bhp and 130Nm torque for high performance mixed with a manageable ride.

“It’s an important bike that reflects the rock side of Diesel’s DNA,” explained Andrea Rosso, Creative Director of Diesel Licensing. “The wording ‘Never look back’ engraved with the two logos captures the essence of this collaboration: a timeless bike that catches the eye with so many unmistakeable details, such as the brushed stainless steel with visible welding and rivets. Ducati, Diavel and Diesel, three words, six letters each, forming 666, the limited number of examples of this new collaboration”.

Should you wish to continue the look, Diesel have released a Ducati-dedicated collection of jeans, a biker jacket and t-shirts to arrive alongside the bike.

This incredible machine will be available from April 2017. For more information on this, and the rest of the Ducati range, please speak to your local Vindis Ducati Store.
