Panigale V4 S scoops Bike of the Year award
The Panigale V4 S has emerged as the winner of the AutoTrader 2018 Best Bike Awards, scooping Best Bike of the Year and Best Sports Bike.
Praised by the panel of experts for its refined ride, and second-to-none spec and electronics, the V4 S fought off strong competition from its competitors.
Joining expert judges Robert Morphet and Phil West, guest judge Andrew Shim, best known for his on-screen role in This is England commented, “The Ducati V4 S is by far the superior bike this year. I own a Ducati V4 S, along with lots of their competitor’s bikes, and I can say first hand that Ducati haven’t just moved the goal posts, they’ve changed them.”
The judging panel spent hours in the saddle, riding thousands of miles to test 36 bikes from 16 different manufacturers for the awards. The nominated models proved their worth in running costs, performance, technical advancements and appearance, amongst a range of other qualities.
The plucky Scrambler 1100 received runner up status for Best Retro as did the Monster 821 for Best Middleweight.
